Believe it or not the next political campaign is upon us. Seems like the last one just ended and the next one is beginning, and along with the political campaign comes all the promises: vote for me and I’ll give you free healthcare, free college, free day care, and even a living wage. I’ll fix income inequality, gender inequality, and racial inequality. Vote for me and I’ll make your life as easy as possible. Haven’t we heard this all before? Don’t we hear this and more during every single campaign, and how many of us believe it? How many times has your life been made easier because some politician got elected and actually kept all their promises? Once again we have to decide whether or not we’re going to put our trust in some politician to change our lives and make it better or if we’re going to depend on ourselves.
