I’ve been retired for three months now. Retired? That’s funny. My wife would say I didn’t retire at all…that I just changed careers. She’s probably right. After all I just finished recording a CD. I’ve started work on a book. I have a Facebook page, a Twitter page, a YouTube Channel, and I’ve just launched this website. Next week I’m also starting work on a music video for my soon to be released single Come Fly With Me. You can hear that song on this site. I think it came out pretty nice if I do say so myself.
To think after working at Microsoft for 20 years I finally have time to work on all those goals that I postponed because work got in the way. I’m sure you all know how that feels. Sometimes we get too busy earning a living to live. Well one of my goals was to make a music CD for my Mom. I always liked singing and my mom used to always ask me to sing when I came over for Christmas. I thought a CD would be a nice gift but being the action oriented guy that I am I just couldn’t go into a sound booth and record a song. No I had to do it right and hire a real producer (with an H media) and once we started recording we kept adding things. A sax would sound good here… a flute solo would be great on this song and soon we had a CD that really sounds great. When I sang a couple of the songs at my retirement party people said I’d buy that CD… retirement was over before the retirement party came to an end. So that explains the CD but why am I writing a book. That will have to wait until my next blog.
