George A. Santino of Woodinville has spent most his life pressing on as a father and a businessman — until now. With the kids grown and the mortgage paid off, this 56-year old retired Microsofty is having a little fun of his own. You might even say he’s got the world on a string. Following his childhood dream of becoming a singer, Santino released his debut album May 15. It’s called “Come Fly with Me” and is a collection of Frank Sinatra covers. It landed him the No. 1 spot on Amazon’s Hot New Releases in Swing Jazz for his single, “That’s Life.” Since childhood, Santino has been a singer but never had the stability to follow a career in music. Now, after a roller-coaster of struggles and triumphs, Santino is ready for the microphone. “Life can’t just be about showing up for work and paying bills, then doing it all over again,” said Santino. “It has to matter that you were here. I truly believe that you have to do something that leaves a mark.”
